The group was formed in 1998 by independent electronic musicians Vitaly Mikheev and Andrei Petrikin as the joint project "Nonsense & Organic Knobs". It took the name INNER CONFLICT when it started performing on stage, in 2002.
In July 2003, Andrei left the group and was replaced by another independent musician – Artemy Pisemsky, who fitted in well. In spite of certain stylistic experiments, the group’s main repertoire consists of songs in the classic or traditional synthpop style, mainly performed with live sound (without phonograms).

Nowadays Inner Conflict collaborates with the famous Russian DJ BabyMax and female vocs band Emplosia, the project have got the name NURSTRESS.

The band supported many European bands, for example Mesh, Beborn Beton now will play in the B2 club with Elegant Machinery.
